Possibly the best son of Cornet Obolensky, he boasts a high-level track record in show-jumping and is proving himself as a sire as well.
Under Guido Klatte Jr Cornet’s Prinz was crowned German Champion and took silver in the German Young Rider Championships. He was also no. 11 in the prestigious “Sires of the World” event and has already placed internationally in 1.55m classes.
In 2009 he was awarded the main premium from the Oldenburg International Springpferdezuchtverband.
Cornet’s Prinz is probably the best son of the Champion stallion, Cornet Obolensky (semen also available through Iconic Sires). Not only did Cornet Obolensky place in most of the top European competitions, but he was part of the German Nations Cup winning team at Rotterdam 5* where he placed 2nd in the Grand Prix. He also won the CSI 3* at Cervia, and as a nine-year-old was the youngest member of the German showjumping team at the Beijing Games.
The pedigree of Cornet’s Prinz’s dam is strictly focussed on performance via the greats Almox Prints, Polydor and Grannus.
Cornet’s Prinz is one of the most popular sires in Belgium and was honoured with “Elite” status. In the Belgian foal championships, he sired the 2016 champion and reserve champion, as well as an eighth-placed participant. His eldest offspring are now 9 and already shining at top level including Corisanto, 9yo CSI4* with Guido Jr Klatte; Captain Jo, 8 yo, CSI 1,45m with Christina Thomas; California 19, 8 yo, CSI 1,45m with Robinson Maupiler; Prinz Claus, 7 yo, CSI 1,40m with Mathais Mock; Chattanooga, 7 yo, CSI 1,40m with Angelica Augustsson Zanotelli; Cornet’s Crown 2, 6 yo, 2nd in the consolation class FEI World Breeding Jumping Championship with Santiago Diaz Ortega.
