Avanti Amorous Archie

Avanti Amorous Archie has proven himself to be a formidable sire to both jumpers and show horses. He has it all, temperament, conformation, movement and pedigree. Even Her Majesty the Queen of England has included him in her breeding program.

Avanti Amorous Archie passed inspection at 2 years and 10 months and went into the IDHS(GB) Grade One Register. He is a show champion and is at present competing in Affiliated Dressage and has 189 BD points. He has also hunted for 3 seasons and does Cross Country.

In 2013 Archie won the IDHS(GB) Stallion Performance Award. He holds a Silver Merit for his own performance record, the only UK bred/standing stallion to achieve this. He also has a Gold Merit for his Showing progeny.

Archie’s pedigree lists a string of top producers.

He is by the Gold Merit Show Jumping Stallion Crosstown Dancer, whose sire, Flagmount Diamond, and grand-sire, King of Diamonds both produced numerous top Show Jumpers, including Nick Skelton’s International A Grade ride, Hopes are High (x Flagmount Diamond), and Rodrigo Pessoa’s Special Envoy (x King of Diamonds).

Archie is out of prolific County Show winning mare Avanti Racey Gracie, by Snowford Bellman. Her pedigree contains the legendary Irish Draught stallions Slievenamon and Skippy.

He passes on his superb temperament and trainability to his progeny, and several of the older ones are competing very successfully. To name just a few:

  • The part bred gelding, Tower Bridge, bred by Her Majesty the Queen of England, is winning Championships under saddle in the HW hunter classes at county level and he is only 4;
  • Annie’s Archie, a pure bred Irish Draught Gelding, won the HW Hunter Class at Cheshire County Show 2014, his first time out this season, gaining their illustrious Horse Of The Year Show ticket;
  • O’Neil of Hanstead, out of a Thoroughbred mare, is competing at BD and has 77 BD points;
  • And Ginger Cake, also out of a Thoroughbred mare is winning at British Eventing.
